Three Book Recommendations to Round Out the Year

November 23, 2015 by admin

I think we are all on the hunt for a good read.

So I want to share three books that I enjoyed this past year.

(I know. I’m supposed to be shamelessly plugging my own books, but, oh well…)

For fans of science fiction, one of my favorite books this year was Edge of Tomorrow. Yes, the Tom Cruise movie was based on this Japanese book. But it’s a fun and quick read – military science fiction, time loops, aliens and a strong female character. If at first you can’t succeed…

Another book I really enjoyed was Beyond Redemption. Dark fantasy where the magic is essentially delusions made real. Strong writing and memorable characters. More of the classic fantasy genre with some great turns on things. Truly a crazy magic system!

The final book I’d recommend is The Ritual, a chilling novel about hikers getting lost in the woods in Northern Europe and the horror they find. Great atmosphere, creepy and dark. Don’t take the short cut!

So those are my recommendations.

What are you reading? Got any good recommendations for me?
