Hats for sale

Not really.

Maybe not yet.

Though I’ve got a really good idea for a lifestyle brand that does sell hats.

I’ve got a lot of good ideas.

Just as I’m sure you do.

So how come those ideas never materialize?

Was it just a bad idea? Can an idea be good or bad? Until it becomes something real (whatever real is these days), can it have a positive or negative value? And how do we define a bad idea? One that won’t succeed? Does that mean it’s necessarily bad or that it just did not succeed?

My wife and I made some balm to help relieve pain. It’s a good little product. We make a handful of dollars on it.

Does that mean it’s not successful?

An idea turned from ether into a silky balm in a tin can. It helped people. People asked for more. We liked making it. We just did not crack the nut to turn it into something that sold a lot or made us a lot of money.

Back to the hats.

I’ve got this really good idea for a hat.
