In honor of Edgar Rice Burroughs’s birthday this week, I am sharing the covers of a few of his books that I have on my shelves.
Burroughs was a favorite of my mine during my formative years and in addition to reading almost everything he wrote, I also became collector of his books.
Here are a few of the covers during different time periods with different artists. The covers all capture the great sense of adventure in the pages, as well as providing the feeling of menace to draw the reader immediately into the book.
