That time of the year

December 12, 2015 by admin

It’s that time of year again.

Short days, long nights, end of the year deadlines and the holiday shopping frenzy.

For some people, shopping for gifts is a fun-filled adventure.

For the rest of us, it’s a nightmare.

My own personal shopping madness at the end of the year is compounded by my wife and daughter both having birthdays in the two weeks before Christmas.

So it usually happens like this: wrack brain about what they might want, hopelessly search on Amazon, find nothing, ask them what they want, they answer with I don’t know, more panicked searching online, then they suggest a few items.

I rejoice. I get them gifts just in the nick of time.

Then the joy wears off when I realize that now I need to find them Christmas gifts as well as suggest items to other family members.

Whole process repeats itself.

All I can say is by December 26th, I need a whole another year to recover.
